Great food, great service, great little shop. I came here for the shaved ice and had an amazing experience. Besides other food, there's a large selection of shaved ice, the menu is available in both English and Japanese, and the welcoming shop owner also speaks both Japanese and English. I decided for a butterfly pea tea and grape Gorgonzola shaved ice. The combination sounds crazy, but it's amazing. It's a huge portion with creamy Gorgonzola, cream, grape syrup, and crunchy bits, and I'm sure I'm missing some layer that makes this taste so amazing. Thank you, I want to come again if possible!

Top-shelf gourmet かき氷 Some people think it’s crazy to spend ¥1500+ on shaved ice, but the layering this shop puts into each flavor will fill you up like a full meal so to me, the price is absolutely worth it. And they have SOOOO many flavors. It’s almost hard to choose. I went with the raspberry pistachio with chocolate filling, which was incredible. Health-conscious wife got the fruit medley with Japanese pear and two types of grapes. If you’re a tourist, don’t feel intimidated to go inside. The owner will be eager to show off her amazing English skills! I usually just go to Asakusa to visit my favorite pizza place but now I have a great dessert shop to enjoy afterwards.

I was looking for the perfect shaved ice in whole Japan. Here it was perfect - they have many different tastes to try, from bitter lemon with honey (she makes the syrup and candied lemons herself!) , to raspberry with pistachio cream (whisch was very delicious and had a very deep taste!!) The owner speaks great english and ahere were many locals eating here. The general vibe was also really uplifting My husband and I were left satisfied and can recommend this place!

This tiny shop serves one of the best shaved ice in the area! My friends and I ordered the chocolate with strawberry short cake, strawberry pistachio, and the potato. All three dishes were phenomenal, especially on a hot summer day. It is a bit difficult to reach the store as it's not on the main road but you won't regret making your way over! The prices may be a bit higher than some others but there is a high level of service as well as amazing flavors that come with it! I'm glad we stumbled upon this shop as it is now my go-to when I visit Tokyo. If it is slow when you visit, have a chat with the owner! She is very friendly and easy going!

Phenomenal experience, one of the gems in the back streets of Asakusa, came earlier in the day the place ran out of ice but that was because there was a yearly festival the previous day. I decided to come back for some shaved ice to try but one of the customers was eating a main meal so I couldn’t help myself when she mentioned beef Hamburg ratatouille. I’m not playing around when I say this it was delicious, many vegges and on the side as well an egg & rice as well. The master/owner was so kind to offer me some shaved ice strawberry milk on the house!! It was very very nice even with a full stomach and a bit of walking to get some cash, cash only venue! Thanks again will revisit if I ever make it back to Tokyo!!

Today, I had the chance to try something completely new at "cafebar miyami" in Asakusa – my very first vegan meal. They serve regular dishes too, but I opted for the vegan hamburger, made from soy meat, lotus root, and tofu, all topped with a ratatouille sauce. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I thought vegan food might lack flavor compared to regular meals. But boy, was I wrong! This was simply delicious. Not just "good for a vegan dish," but truly tasty food. The texture, the flavors—it didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. The potato salad on the side was made with vegan mayonnaise, which allowed the taste of the potato to really shine through. The salad came with a light sesame dressing, adding another layer of flavor that I loved. But the real surprise? The carrot salad (carrot râpé). I was bracing myself for a sharp vinegar punch, but it was surprisingly mild. The tangy flavor was there, but without that harsh sensation in the nose that sometimes comes with vinegar-based dishes. It was just… amazing. I don’t know how, but it was! And then there’s the café’s owner, a lively local woman named Misa. She’s super friendly, with a real down-to-earth vibe. Hearing her talk about “ratatouille” with such enthusiasm was both funny and heartwarming—it’s that kind of place! For dessert, I tried their homemade carrot cake, which had a strong cinnamon flavor that I really liked. You can choose between vegan or regular cream cheese. I couldn’t decide, so I tasted both! The vegan version had a saltier taste, which actually paired perfectly with the sweetness and spiciness of the cake. "Cafebar miyami" is a hidden gem a bit away from the bustling Kaminarimon area. Whether you’re a couple, a tourist, or even a foodie or professional chef, this place is worth a visit. It's an experience you won’t find anywhere else!
